Efrain,

As you probably know, Jesus was called a friend of sinners, and seemed to wear that badge proudly. Jesus had a kind of holiness that seemed to agitate the religious and welcome the prostitute, the tax collector and "sinner."

wow it was refreshing, i live in venezuela and you hardly hear about this inside the church, the leaders still dont believe in incarnation or contextualization because they think degrades the spiritual life, if you try to go closer to those outside the church is only because you want to sin...

Roy,

I'm glad that this post could be an encouragement for you. By the way, that is a great way to state things, "without contextualization there is no incarnation." Rich and succinct.

Jonny,

I'm glad the questions were of help. What questions have you asked that have been helpful for you to more faithfully embody the good news where you are living?

Paul,

Thanks for the encouragement. I have have always found it interesting how many go by the title of Pastor, but in many ways are not Soul Healers, as defined above. (I can be faulted for this.) Or how many might consider themselves teachers, but in reality might be good communicators that focus more on Heart Revealing or Dream Awakening. Every one of the Equippers are communicators, but the teacher helps to shed light on the text itself. One of my hopes in re-labeling the Equippers is that we might understand the function of each of them better, so that each Equipper might more fully incarnate who they are to the body and awaken every member of the body to do their part.

Hi JR, thank you. i really like your relabelling of the 5 folds, it brings out a fresh way of looking at these roles and their interactive relationship which encourages an other-centred particpative way of leading and following.
