Resource for theology and ministry training
6 Jan 2009

Maybe you’ve resolved to focus on learning and training for ministry in 2009. One resource, might be the MA courses at Kings College London.
- Are you a minister or otherwise involved in Christian ministry?
- Have you considered studying for an MA?
- Would you like to do so in a prestigious university in the centre of London?
- And would you like the option of a modular programme, so that you can choose from
a range of courses?
I couldn’t recommend Kings College more highly (especially as it’s the location for my PhD work). The MA’s they have cover the following areas:
MA in Youth Ministry
MA in Theology, Politics and Faith Based Organisations
MA in Contemporary Ecclesiology
MA in Contemporary Worship
MA in Christian Education
MA in Pastoral Ethics
MA in Bible and Ministry
MA in Mission and Ministry in the Modern Age
If you want to know more, visit the theology and ministry MA site at Kings.

I have been thinking about Kings for a number of years and on two separate occasions over that time, I have registered my interest. I have even gone as far as sitting in on one of the classes to demonstrate my eagerness. However, I have been greatly disappointed in the lack of response from them. On the first occasion that I contacted them, I had no reply until after the semester started.
I am now looking for somewhere else in the hope that I will be taken seriously.

Dear Carole,
I’m so sorry to hear that, can I help in any way? Who did you apply to?
Warmly, Jason

Hi Jason
I was in email contact with the department secretary initially but, after the initial reply, I heard nothing again until after the term started.
I then contacted the department again, told the department my interest. I was invited to sit in on a class but no one seemed to realise that I wanted to do classes. I just thought it was strange so stopped thinking about Kings. These events occurred over the past two intakes.
Blessings
